Ajinomoto Group at the SIAL 2006 Exhibition
From October 22nd to 26th, the Villepine Exhibition Hall near Paris
Charles de Gaulle Airport hosted the SIAL, one of the most prestigious
international food exhibitions. Some 5,256 exhibitors from 99 countries
and 136,374 visitors from 183 countries enjoyed the event over five days.
The Ajinomoto Group companies could not miss this exceptional opportunity
to present their products manufactured in Europe as well as in Japan.
Ajinomoto Poland SP. Z.O.O.
Ajinomoto Poland SP.Z O.O. welcomed the SIAL visitors in a bright red-coloured booth in the Polish section. Most of the visitors were very interested to learn that their instant noodles were produced in Poland using advanced technology and under strict quality control from Japan. Visitors were captivated by the varied flavours of the products; some with European tastes with chicken, tomato, mushroom or vegetables while shrimp offered more oriental taste and all were packaged in eye-catching vessels.
Ajinomoto Co., Inc. and Ajinomoto Frozen Foods
In the Japanese Section built on the theme of “Health and Diet”, the basic ingredients and materials of Japanese food were presented to show the many adaptable ways of cooking.
The booths of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. and Ajinomoto Frozen Foods Co., Inc. were both visited by many. At the frozen Foods booth, plates of grilled “Gyoza” ravioli and sticks of barbecued chicken “Yakitori” were served. Professionals attending the booth were highly appreciative of the tastefulness of the products. According to one buyer, these two products of “Ajinomoto” brand are considered to be the most requested Japanese specialities in Europe.
The
Japanese section had also a mission to show what the authentic Japanese
food was because the recent
boom of Japanese food worldwide
did not always extend to understanding of the key elements of the
unique cuisine. Throughout its long history of Japanese cuisine,
there have
always been two principal elements; rice and Dashi (bouillon for
the soups and sauces). And for Japanese people, Ajinomoto Co., Inc.
is the most popular dashi maker of the county.
While discussing the role of Dashi-bouillon, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. booth demonstrated the interesting ways to present the rice dishes mixed with their ready-to-cook seasoned vegetables. Many visitors who tasted the rice in variety of dishes were truly amazed how easily such delicious dishes could be prepared with Ajinomoto products.
